Is there anything missing...in your opinion from the forum?

Is there something on the forum you don't want?

Or are you happy with it so far?

Apart from more posting members?

I think the set up og the form is just about right for now, if when we get more members it may need to be expanded a little.

happy

The forum is slightly small. I rememeber the first Strikerworld, there were many forum sections. It appears the forums have shrunk down over the years lol. I think there need's to be some research, like looking at the old forum, and the forum sections that were there. My point being bring some old forum sections back.

I think its fine as it is just now, for the size of membership, maybe as has been pointed out, we could maybe have a general sports forum included.

I have asked if that could be sorted.

As Dazzy mentioned in another thread, maybe we could have a Creative Corner comeback....be it for short stories, signatures, even 3 word threads....I think Dazzy will know what I mean!

Could creative stories go in Slappers? I'm not sure we need a new area until we gain more active members plus we're still waiting for the Admin to change the sports forum so it would take a while for it to be done anyway.

Dazzy, my Carl The Cow story can still be found if you know where to look. thumbs down

Ah, It was a Cow, it was a good story Mick. I think a Sub Forum in the Slappers Arm is a good idea.

I can't make forums Dazzy, for now posts in the Slappers will be fine and I'll ask the Admin about another forum if we need it but I don't want to do anything until they've sorted the sports section as I asked them last week.

The forum changes are done - the new Other Sports forum is in there now.

At some point soon we're going to update the forum to a newer version, which should fix some of the bugs people have been seeing. I'll post an announcement before then, as it will probably mean taking the forum offline for a bit.

Is one of the bugs, being able to log in, on any section of the forum? as I've noticed the only log in, is on the home page.

Yes, that's one of the bugs in the current version - it's definitely fixed in the next.

There's another bug with private messages that should be sorted by the update too.

Not sure how you'd go about it.. but is there anyway togo straight to the newst post written in a topic since person last read thattopic, instead of having to trawl through the whole thread? Maybe even reverse the posts so that you have the latest posts firsts and the first posts last?

That is a right pain, I have never known a forum to always take you to the first post before.

Also, if the admin reads this Ressie is still waiting for the name change I emailed you about.

Jayke, you can go to the last post in a thread by clicking the little icon under "last post" that looks like a document with an arrow pointing at it.

Mick, the guy who usually administers the forum is on holiday at the moment, so that's probably why the name change hasn't been done - if you let me know what you need here, I can make the change for you.

Sorry, I had a look but I can't actually change someone's username as it's what identifies the account.

He can always open a new account under the name he wants though and use that instead.
